    Chalford has supplied biomass wood chip to local communities, commercial users and energy producers for over two decades. Harvested from FSC® certified woodlands, processed in Herefordshire, and tested for quality and consistency.

    Screened and dried to ensure optimal combustion, with each load traceable back to its woodland origin.

Ready to Burn certification gives customers a recognised way to identify compliant domestic wood fuel.

Certified wood sold in volumes below 2m³ must meet the scheme requirements, including a moisture content of no more than 20%.

Store wood fuel under cover in a dry, ventilated place. Only burn wood in a suitable appliance and follow the appliance manufacturer’s instructions. Customers in smoke control areas should also check the rules that apply to their appliance and location.
